( You may skip the below content and learn how to uninstall MAMP PRO manually! )
This forum thread contains clear, and easy to understand instructions on how to uninstall MAMP PRO from Windows 10 and Mac. This post also contains extra tips, but has also been written in such a way so that you can remove the MAMP PRO software, thoroughly. Please complete the steps in the correct order and, please back up all of your personal stuff (e.g., documents, bookmarks, etc.) before continuing. If you're very uncomfortable making changes to your operating system manually or following the directions given blow, please STOP and run the recommended uninstall tool PRO accordingly. Also in need of solutions to uninstall the MAMP (non-PRO version), please get the most out of this MAMP PRO uninstall guide.
In order to get rid of MAMP PRO on Windows, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Exit the clients (2) completely. We kindly refer you to the below screenshots.
Step 2: Uninstall the target app from your own apps list under Settings. Please refer to the following 9 images.
(Note: You'd find 2 MAMP-related items, if you're using the PRO version.)
(Hint: You can remove the MAMP PRO version 3.3.1 first.)
(Note: Now, remove the big one, "MAMP & MAMP PRO version 3.3.1".)
Step 3: Try detecting and wiping all instances (leftovers & components) of MAMP, such as installation information that has been left in file system and/or Registry Editor.
To remove the Mac version of MAMP PRO, you may try following the instructions here:
1. Head to the Utilities sub-folder in the Applications file folder.
2. Run the Activity Monitor. Locate the app and note down (copy & paste) all of the "Output information" associated with MAMP PRO for Mac.
3. Check your own Dock menu at the bottom of your screen. Quit the app manually.
4. To uninstall the MAMP PRO for Mac, use the MAMP PRO uninstaller, which should be located in the /Applications/MAMP PRO folder.
(Hint: Press the Uninstall button when you face "MAMP PRO Uninstaller")
(Note: you need to enter your Mac system passphrase correctly.)
(Exit the Uninstaller.)
(You move the remained MAMP folder to Trash directly.)
5. Try detecting & cleaning up MAMP-related leftovers & components after rebooting your Mac.
