In order to get rid of Google Play Music Desktop Player on Windows, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Check out the "Show hidden icons" area in your own Taskbar. We kindly refer you to the below screenshot.

Step 2: Uninstall the target app from your own apps section under the Settings menu (for Windows 10 users). Please refer to the following 4 images.


(Hint: Type the app name into the search box.)

(Press the 2nd Uninstall button in time.)

(Choose the option Yes to proceed w/ the uninstallation procedure. Wait until the uninstall is complete.)
Step 3: Try detecting and wiping all instances (leftovers & components) of that Player software, such as installation information that has been left in file system and/or Registry Editor.

And, to erase Raptr from your Mac, please use these info:
1. Head to the Utilities sub-folder in the Applications file folder.
2. Run the Activity Monitor. Locate the app and note down (copy & paste) all of the "Output information" associated with Raptr for Mac.

3. Check your own Dock menu at the bottom of your screen. Quit the app manually.

If the above option does not work for you, use Activity Monitor to force the app to quit.

4. Delete downloaded "Google.Play.Music.Desktop.Player.OSX.zip" file & extracted content and launching the option "Move to Trash".

5. Try cleaning up Google Play Music Desktop Player related leftovers & components after rebooting your Mac.
