This thread helps Fix There was a problem resetting your PC on Windows:
Solution 1:
If all of the following conditions are true:
· Your Windows 10 was pre-installed (not an upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1).
· The PC manufacturer enabled compression to reduce the disk space required for preinstalled applications.
· You created a USB recovery drive using the “Create a recovery drive” feature in Windows 10.
· You booted the PC to the USB recovery drive and selected, Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
Only then you can try the below steps:
Boot the PC to the USB recovery drive.
Select Troubleshoot > Recover from a drive.
Follow the on-screen instructions to recover or reset your PC.
Plan B: Format the partition where you had operating system installed. Refer to the below image.
Solution 2: Reboot your computer and run System file check (aka, sfc /scannow command) as the admin user.
If you meet some unexpected blue error while doing that, try the below steps:
· Restart your computer.
· Right click on the Start menu.
· Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
· Type cd %windir%\system32\config, then click Enter.
· Type ren system system.001,then click Enter.
· Type ren software software.001,then click Enter.
Solution 3: Refresh/Reset from WinRE
Warning: All of your personal files will be deleted and your settings will be reset. All apps that you installed will be removed.
Insert an original Windows install media such as (USB or DVD) and restart your computer.
Press F12 key and choose the drive that you inserted the installation media into.
Once the Windows Setup window appears, Click next and select Repair your computer.
You will then see a blue screen and an option to choose. Choose the option Troubleshoot and select "Advanced options" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Afterwards, You’ll need to reupgrade your system to the latest build, manually.
