Can't run Media Player?
Method 1: Use System File Checker tool
Command: sfc /scannow
Method 2:
command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Method 3: If the issue is still persisting, check the Application and System logs in Event Viewer and get the error details recorded there against this problem with Windows Media Player.
Method 4: Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter
a. Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
b. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.
c. Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player Settings.
d. Also run the Windows Media Player Library troubleshooter.
Microsoft Office 2013 stopped working?
Step 1: Open Word > File > Addins. Check if you have Abby FineReader listed. If yes, go to control panel >Programs > uninstall a program > Uninstall Abby FineReader.
Step 2: Run your Office app like Excel in Safe Mode using command like this one: excel/office /safe

Reset 3rd-party firewall's settings or, uninstall the firewall software you installed.
