This thread helps fix Runtime Error 339 effectively.
Info: Windows Runtime Error 339 occurs when a program asks for a specific file it cannot find. The error tends to happen when you attempt to activate certain functions of a program
Option 1: re-register comdlg32.ocx
command: regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx
Optional steps are: register some other .ocx files
TABCTL32.ocx
ssa3d30.ocx
COMCTL32.ocx
RICHTX32.ocx
comct232.ocx
Plan B: install the stand-alone COMDLG32.0cx@ support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/172991
Option 2: Modify the properties of the target application you were trying to run:
Right click on .exe file
Select Properties
Click Compatibility Tab
Under Privilege Level click Run This Program As An Administrator
Click Apply, Ok
For example...
Option 3: (works for 64-bit Windows users)
cd c:\windows\SysWoW64
regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx
Perform System File Check
command: sfc /scannow
NOTE: It may ask for Windows DVD (install disc) to fix and to enable SFC to make more than minor repairs.
Case study 1: issue running Chart Wars 3?
cmd these items:
regsvr32 /u \windows\system32\Msflxgrd.ocx
regsvr32 \windows\system32\Msflxgrd.ocx
If problem continues, try:
uninstall the game completely by using the recommended uninstall tool in this demo
re-download a fresh copy and install that as the admin user
Case study 2: problem w/ SaralTDS - eMail
Method 1:
Search for the ‘dhtmled.ocx’ file in application folder; if it is not found get it from different computer and paste into application folder.
If it is found re-register it this way:

Method 2: Uninstall the application by using the recommended uninstall tool in this demo -> reinstall your software later.
[Before un-installation take the backup of entire folder]
