Option 1: Disable LAN or WLAN connection immediately and re-enable that feature later.
Option 2: do a clean install of Anniversary Update by running Media Creation Tool@ go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

Option 4: Rename the SoftwareDistribution Folder@%SystemRoot% > restart > re-try
Option 5: Make the below changes to Registry Editor:
BACK UP REG FIRST!
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX] "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings] "UxOption"=dword:00000000
Option 6: Ensure there is a period (full-stop) next to the Decimal symbol option.
To do so, Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Region > Additional.
