( You may skip the below content and learn how to uninstall Plex Media Server manually! )
This forum thread contains clear, and easy to understand instructions on how to uninstall Plex Media Server from Windows 10 and Mac. This post also contains extra tips, but has also been written in such a way so that you can remove the Plex Media Server software, thoroughly. Please complete the steps in the correct order and, please back up all of your personal stuff (e.g., documents, bookmarks, etc.) before continuing. If you're very uncomfortable making changes to your operating system manually or following the directions given blow, please STOP and run the recommended uninstall tool PRO accordingly.
In order to get rid of Plex Media Server on Windows, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Save your stuff, close any Plex-related browsers - this helps U to close the app and, terminate all background processes "Plex Media Server" & "Plex Update Service" via Task Manager. We kindly refer you to the below screenshots.


Hint: Do not miss out on the Phython, if you do not wanna reuse that exe file.
Step 2: Uninstall the target client-server media player system and software suite from your own programs list under Control Panel. Please refer to the following 5 images.

(launch the embedded Uninstall option when you locate the undesired software.)

(Make UAC allow the CLSID to run.)

(Hit the Uninstall button to start removing your Plex from your Windows.)

(Just wait...)

(Close the Plex Media Server Setup wizard.)
Step 3: Try detecting and wiping all instances (leftovers & components) of Plex, such as installation information that has been left in file system and/or Registry Editor.

And, to erase Plex from your Mac, please use these info:
1. Similarly, close all of Plex-related webpages, head to the Utilities sub-folder in the Applications file folder.
2. Run the Activity Monitor. Locate the app and note down (copy & paste) all of the "Output information" associated with Plex for Mac.

3. Now U better reboot your macOS.
4. Delete Plex Media Server for Mac by right-clicking on the app and launching the option "Move to Trash".

5. Try cleaning up Plex-related leftovers & components after rebooting your Mac.

If you installed the Plex on yr Linux, try following this HTG guide to get the job with Command Line instead.
