This thread helps fix "Sharing Tab is Missing on Windows" issue. Learn more?
Method 1:
Step 1: create a system restore point and/or , run Registry Editor, then export current registry settings.
Step 2: Head to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\. Check if the following registry value Sharing is available. If so, create one manually. Then, set the value to {f81e9010-6ea4-11ce-a7ff-00aa003ca9f6}.
Step 3: Restart your Windows.
Method 2: Check if both the Server service and the Security Accounts Manager service are running.
Method 3: Check if the "Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended)" option is enabled.
Method 4 (also works for Windows Server based computer): Head to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa, create a DWORD entry, name it as forceguest, then change its value to number 0.
Case study 2: (If you're running some Windows Server (2008) computer, read on...)
1. Open Computer, click on Tools, click on Folder Options -> View -> enable "Sharing Wizard (Recommended)" option if it is unchecked.
2. Check if the File and Printer Sharing in NIC properties has been enabled.

3.1 . open Group Policy: Start -> Run -> Type: gpedit.msc -> Click OK.
3.2 Head to Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer ->locate an entry, named "Remove the Security tab". Refer to the below image.
Set to Not Configured or Disabled.
3.2 Open Registry Editor, and head to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer and/or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.
3.3 Check if there is NoSecurityTab listed. If no, doing the below steps:
Value Name: NoSecurityTab
Value Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 0 (number 0) or 1 (number 1).
3.3 Delete the following values SrvsvcShareAdminConnect, srvsvcShareFileInfo & SrvsvcSharePrintInfo from HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\DefaultSecurity and restart your Server.
4. Try the above Method 4. In addition, refer to the following Microsoft KB article@ goo.gl/Fk94P9 for how to troubleshoot RPC Endpoint Mapper errors using the Windows Server 2003 Support Tools from the product CD.
