This post also contains extra tips, but has also been written in such a way so that you can remove said ZoneAlarm software, thoroughly. In order to get rid of the ZoneAlarm antivirus program suite on Windows, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Temporarily disconnect your computer from Internet. Exit the app and terminate all background process "ZoneAlarm ICM Service (32 bit)" via Task Manager. We kindly refer you to the below screenshots.
Step 2: Uninstall the target app from your own programs list under Control Panel. You may consider removing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x86) - x64 9.0.30729.17" later. Please refer to the following images.
(Hit the Uninstall button when the below "ZoneAlarm Antivirus Uninstall" wizard comes up.)

(Restart your system when ready.)
