Will there be a difference between uninstalling Adobe Creative Cloud and updating said app? Well, I am not sure if this is the best option to remove ACC, but I've tested the procedure in a Windows 10 based VM and there were no faults. Upgrading Adobe Creative Cloud does work to un-install itself, but most of the app and its requirements would remain. You may see if the following is working for you. If you know of any permanent or better options for uninstalling ACC feel free to let me know. And if you constantly worry about infecting adware and/or foistware, worry no longer and here's how to get rid of those applications once and for all.
Here are some easy-to-follow steps to help uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud for Windows:
1. Save all of your personal stuff, such as synced fonts, files and alike.
2. Stop downloading any Adobe products, sign out your Adobe account and exit the agent. Refer the following images.
3. You may start with the traditional uninstall routine: start, Control Panel and programs list. Once you locate the target app, launch the embedded Uninstall/Change option.
4. Click on the Uninstall button on the following untitled dialog box.
5. Please wait while the auto uninstallation is being processed.
6. Exit the below "Uninstall Successful" window.
7. Consider removing the following Visual C++ applications one by one, if you do not use them at all.
For Mac users, you may try deleting the app from your OS X, this way:
1. Gain the root access. Quit the client when ready.
2. Head to Utilities sub-folder within the Applications file folder.
3. Run Activity Monitor and terminate the following processes I've highlighted. Feel free to keep us posted if I miss something.
4. Re-open said Utilities and enter a file folder, named Adobe Installers. Run an app that has "Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud" in its file name.
5. In order to continue with the removal process, input your Mac password correctly and press the blue OK button afterwards.
6. Verify you wanna rid of the app on your Mac.
7. Save your job, restart your system and try clearing out associated remains & components.
