This post helps Fix error code 0x800f0845 after you installed/applied KB4056892 on your AMD-powered Windows.
Case study 1: Your system didn't boot successfully, it only showed the Windows logo without animation (Windows logo appears but no spinning progress circle and system never starts) and nothing more.
Possible solution (works for some AMD based devices):
Step 1: Check out if you've installed the following Windows updates. If so, remove 'em in WRE mode (See additional info re how to uninstall (an unwanted) Windows update(s) using cmd from recovery.)
January 3, 2018—KB4056897 (Security-only update);
January 9, 2018—KB4056894 (Monthly Rollup);
January 3, 2018—KB4056888 (OS Build 10586.1356);
January 3, 2018—KB4056892 (OS Build 16299.192);
January 3, 2018—KB4056891 (OS Build 15063.850);
January 3, 2018—KB4056890 (OS Build 14393.2007);
January 3, 2018—KB4056898 (Security-only update);
January 3, 2018—KB4056893 (OS Build 10240.17735);
January 9, 2018—KB4056895 (Monthly Rollup).

2.2 Resolving Blue Screen errors in Windows 8.1: goo.gl/W9Zd4w.
2.3 Resolving stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7: goo.gl/MzNgB6.
Below are some troubleshooting tips you can try as well:
1. enter in your BIOS options and check if there are options for HPET Support (refer to the below 1st img) or Virtualization (ie, "Intel Virtualization Technology (vt-x)"; see the 2nd img), and disable one of them or both if needed.
2. Back up your personal data, perform a clean installation of your Windows.
See related guide@ goo.gl/vK4dq1 "How to do a Clean Install of Windows 10, the Easy Way?".
3 (may also work for AMD processor users, as it doesn't seem vulnerable to the Meltdown and the Spectre mitigations). Back up your personal data, roll back the update and disable automatic updates through the gpedit - this method may work for Windows 10 Professional Editions only.
Open gpedit.msc.
Navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update.
Locate the “Configure Automatic Updates” setting. Then, you can choose “Auto download and notify for install” or “Notify for download and notify for install.” Save the change.
See more options@ goo.gl/NzDcke "How to Prevent Windows 10 From Automatically Downloading Updates?".
And, for setting up ONLY manual updates, follow the steps at goo.gl/bgNWKh.
4. Back up your personal data, you do a reset or, recover you Windows using a System Restore Point previous to the update or, run media creation tool and get into Windows Recovery mode, then do a system restore. You then have to uninstall the KB4056892 update, and pause updates (Windows 10 Pro) - see related instructions below.
If, Windows update keeps insisting on installing KB4056892, run Microsoft "Show or hide updates" troubleshooter@ goo.gl/tDu9QD, which provides a user interface to hide and show Windows updates and drivers for Windows 10.
Hint: Run wushowhide.diagcab, click "Advanced," uncheck "Apply repairs automatically," and click "Next." After a while, you'll get two choices -- pick "Hide Updates." You should then see KB4056892 to select to hide.
5. pause Windows Update inside Advanced Options in Windows Update options.
You may also try pausing Windows 10 Updates Easily by running some command lines.
See details@ goo.gl/YJHa5u.
6. Manually (Temporarily) stop and disable the Windows update service and download the above-mentioned "MS Update Hide/show tool" to prevent KB4056892 from installing.
7. uninstall KB4056892 using cmd from recovery.
See related guide@ goo.gl/rDsiWN "How to uninstall Windows Updates?".
