This demo contains tips that help fix Invalid Product Key error while trying to register or activate your Norton client.
This error appears when the product key you have entered is typed incorrectly or entered into the wrong product.
1. Make sure that your key is typed correctly
Type your product key again. Be very careful to type it exactly as it appears. The product key is located on the back of the CD envelope that the product came in.
NOTE: Your product key is a combination of alphabetic and numeric characters. It does not contain any special characters.
2. Make sure that you logged in to the correct Norton account
If you have more than one Norton account, verify that the product key you entered is registered to the Norton account you are logged into.
Sign In using this URL@ manage.norton.com/Subscriptions to Norton, verify the product key that you entered is available in the Services page:
Help > My Norton > Under Services, select your Norton product.
Then use that key to re-activate your Norton this way...
3. Key is for a different product family
Verify that you have entered your product key on the correct product. To make sure that you have the correct product downloaded for your key, refer support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v95172414_EndUserProfile_en_us?q=error&x=0&y=0
For example, you cannot use the produce key for Norton 360 to register other newer Norton program like Norton Security.
4. Key is for a different language product
This issue can occur when products are distributed to you outside of your intended country. For example, you cannot activate your English Norton product with a Simplified Chinese Norton product key.
